The Viñadas 2024 concluded with a posada at Viñedos Don Tomás, where 300 people enjoyed wine and a barbecue, thus closing a cycle of 10 events that attracted more than 6 thousand visitors throughout the year, reported Marco Estudillo Bernal, president of the Business Coordinating Council of Ensenada and of Entrepreneurs of the Guadalupe Valley.
Estudillo Bernal highlighted that Viñadas 2024 has been a promotional platform for the Guadalupe Valley, consolidating itself as a substantive pillar in the strengthening of wine tourism and the dissemination of local heritage.
During the events, the importance of agriculture, sustainability and social responsibility were made visible, fundamental axes for a balanced development of the wine sector.
In addition, regional gastronomy, the primary sector and the efforts of ejidatarios and workers were promoted, consolidating a synergy between society and producers.
The business leader stressed that Viñadas will be a mechanism for promotion, dissemination and diffusion throughout the year, seeking to strengthen the identity and pride of the people of Ensenada and Baja California.
In this regard, he announced that work is being done on strategies to encourage longer stays in Ensenada, taking advantage of the local tourist offer, and to recover the curves of views of the Valley, a fundamental attraction for tourism.
Estudillo Bernal pointed out that taking care of employment and guaranteeing sustainable development is a priority, with the goal of consolidating strong wine tourism in the region.
“The last event at Viñedos Don Tomás was the perfect setting, where the hosts went all out and in a Christmas Inn atmosphere, offered wines and a barbecue for hundreds of visitors and tourists who experienced the magic of the Valle de Guadalupe” he said.
He said that, under an extensive pergola decorated with piñatas and papel picado, iconic elements of Mexican tradition, attendees enjoyed a selection of local wines, including some of Kumiai origin. Olives, regional dishes and, especially, grilled lamb became the stars of the night, receiving praise and conquering the palates of those present.
He added that the event also offered high-quality mixology, a selection of desserts and mariachi music, which played pieces of vernacular music, exciting families and couples in attendance. As part of the experience, guests took a tour of the Don Tomás vineyards, where they were able to learn about the offer in cabins for lodging and its restaurant, one of the most outstanding in the region. The celebration concluded with the traditional breaking of piñatas and chords of Mexican music.
Finally, he announced that Baja California is preparing for the Tianguis Turístico 2025, where Viñadas will be one of the main references to promote the cultural, gastronomic and wine tourism wealth of the Valle de Guadalupe.
