In the last 24 hours, Baja California registered 88 new cases of Covid-19, with all municipalities reporting at least one of these cases: 41 in Mexicali, 17 in Ensenada, 13 in Tijuana, nine in San Quintín, four in Tecate, two in Rosarito and two in San Felipe.

In turn, in that same period of time, five more deaths were added in the State, four of them that occurred in Tijuana and the other remaining in Mexicali.

The Entity has accumulated 46 thousand 668 confirmed cases, as well as 7 thousand 938 deaths, due to this disease.

On the other hand, the head of the Ministry of Health, Alonso Pérez Rico, reported that although the hospitals that treated only Covid patients in Baja California are already mixed, if infections increase, patients with other diseases will have to be returned to their homes again. homes, like the beds they occupy, would have to be used for hospitalized coronavirus patients.

According to the report presented this morning by the Secretary, in general, hospital occupancy by Covid-19 is 22%, while that of non-covid is 64%.

The beds that are available today to face the pandemic are 604, and 235 fans, said Pérez Rico.

This Thursday the cases that are still active in the region are 319, of which 163 are located in Mexicali, 112 in Tijuana, 25 in Ensenada, eight in San Felipe, five in Tecate, three in San Quintín and three in Rosarito.
