Mexican Army seizes drug shipment in Ensenada, Baja California

ENSENADA, BAJA CALIFORNIA (MARCH 7, 2021) .- During a routine tour of the Ensenada municipality, agents of the Mexican Army seized 8 packages with marijuana and 18 plastic containers with the drug known as crystal, within the framework of the National Plan for Peace and Security 2018-2024, to contribute to the Prevention of Addictions

The first of the events occurred on March 2, at kilometer 37 of the San Felipe Ensenada highway, in the vicinity of the Poblado Ojos Negros, when a man, upon noticing the military presence, fled throwing a brown suitcase containing the 8 packages with marijuana, which yielded an approximate weight of 6.4 kilograms and a market value of 11,000 pesos.

Later, on March 3, two suitcases were located on a road that leads to Ojos Negros Ejido Uruapan, in which 18 plastic containers were found, with a substance with the characteristics of the drug known as “crystal”; with an approximate weight of 36 kilos and a value of 714,600 pesos.

The insured drug was transferred to the city of Ensenada Baja California, to be made available to the Attorney General’s Office (F.G.R).
