Kayak, parachute, jet skis, boat rides and sport fishing, among the possible activities in the bay.
Cabo San Lucas (CSL), Baja California Sur.- The Captaincy of the Port of Cabo San Lucas, issued a statement dated June 18, 2020, informing the entire maritime community that nautical tourism activities are authorized and recreation in the bay and port.
According to the statement, it is specified that Phase Five “Orange” considers the panorama of the COVID-19 pandemic in Baja California Sur as critical. However, once the manuals and protocols of action of the providers of tourist and nautical services have been reviewed, authorization is given to operate as of the date.
The endorsement, it is reported, is given by the State Commission for the Protection of Sanitary Risks (Coepris), the Integral Port Administration (API) and the National Port Authority. The providers of tourist and nautical services of Cabo San Lucas, must fully comply with their health protocol, carry a travel log and a nautical tourism permit.
The allowed activities are: Kayaks, boards, jet skis, banana, diving, snorkeling, tours and sport fishing. These activities will be carried out with only 50% of the passenger capacity expressed in its national maritime safety certificates.
Given this, the Captain of the Port of Cabo San Lucas urges all providers of tourist and nautical services to take extreme sanitary precautions to avoid any outbreak and/or contagion of COVID-19 in its crews, passengers, and other users.
