The Harvest Festival in Valle de Guadalupe Returns in 2026

The arrival of the Harvest Festival in Valle de Guadalupe is just around the corner in 2026. This celebration honors and shares with both national and international visitors the pride of being the Mexican state with the highest wine production in the country.

During these festivities, the region pays tribute to the grapevine, transforming its rural landscape into a world of culture, gastronomy, and sensory experiences.

In the summer, Valle de Guadalupe reaches peak hotel occupancy due to the large number of travelers attracted not only by the dozens of wineries located throughout the region but also by a gastronomic offering that includes world-class chefs.

In this regard, the winegrowers’ civil association Provino Baja California confirmed that this year’s festivities will take place from August 5 to August 30, 2026. Throughout these 25 days, more than 30 exclusive activities and public celebrations will be held at different venues.

Main Events of the Festival

One of the most important events is the Wine Exhibition, which serves as the opening celebration and features more than 80 local wineries.

Visitors will have the opportunity to taste approximately 160 wine labels paired with dishes prepared by some of the best restaurants in the region.

The most prestigious wineries will organize guided tours of aging cellars, wine appreciation workshops, and traditional activities such as grape stomping at sunset.

There will also be wine-pairing dinners under the stars and private culinary events at renowned wineries, including El Cielo Resort, where guest chefs will design high-end menus specifically crafted to complement the region’s reserve wines.

The Paella Competition

The festival is expected to conclude with the traditional Paella Competition.

During this event, dozens of teams compete to prepare the best paella of the day in an atmosphere filled with live music and large-scale outdoor tastings.

Because attendance is significant, heavy traffic is common during August weekends, particularly along Federal Highway 3 and the internal dirt roads that connect the wineries. For this reason, visitors are advised to allow extra travel time when moving between locations.

The 36th Edition of the Harvest Festival

For the thirty-sixth edition of the Baja California Harvest Festival, the opening ceremony will bring together wine producers, representatives from all levels of government, and sponsors.

The inaugural event will include tastings of premium wine labels and gastronomic samples prepared by renowned restaurants from Ensenada and Valle de Guadalupe.

Wine Exhibition at Coral & Marina Hotel

A special Wine Exhibition will be held at the Coral & Marina Hotel, with attendance by invitation only.

The event will showcase wines from the region’s wine-producing valleys, featuring 80 wineries and tastings of more than 160 wine labels.

The wines will be organized by grape variety rather than by winery, creating a balanced presentation designed to highlight the qualities of the region.

There will also be a producers’ area where visitors can interact directly with winery owners and winemakers while sampling and learning about their wines.

Regional Gastronomy and Cultural Activities

The event will include gastronomic offerings from more than 50 regional restaurants.

Musical performances will take place on five stages featuring different genres distributed throughout the venue.

In addition, a guest wine-producing region will participate with the goal of strengthening relationships among wine regions and promoting wine culture.

Activities for Visitors from Both Sides of the Border

The festival will also feature events aimed at visitors from both Mexico and the United States.

Attendees will be able to explore different wine proposals from the region’s wine valleys, including tastings and sales of dozens of wine labels.

The culinary program will include participation from 25 restaurants located in Tijuana, Tecate, Ensenada, and Valle de Guadalupe.

A dedicated pavilion will highlight a guest wine-producing region, helping strengthen connections with other wine-producing areas.

Educational and Musical Programs

The event will be complemented by an extensive educational program that includes guided wine tastings and culinary demonstrations led by renowned winemakers and guest chefs.

A musical program showcasing local talent will also be featured throughout the festival, providing entertainment alongside the food and wine experiences.
