According to official information, the first operation took place in the town of Valle de la Trinidad, located 123 kilometers from the port area and a place known for recent clashes and organized crime activity.
Here, the Ministry of Defense indicated, troops located and destroyed four marijuana plantations covering an area of approximately 18,300 square meters.
Later, in the area known as Cañada El Carrizo, in the San Vicente district, within a mountainous and difficult-to-access area, four more marijuana fields were located, covering an area of 2,575 square meters.
In the same location, three drying sheds containing approximately 1,200 marijuana plants were also found.
According to information released by the Ministry of Defense, both the fields and the drying sheds were destroyed and burned on site, as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug production and distribution in the region.
