The weather forecast for Baja California for this Friday, August 29, predicts a contrast between scattered showers generated by the Mexican monsoon and the high temperatures that continue across much of the state.

According to the National Meteorological Service (SMN), mostly clear skies are expected in the morning in Baja California, with cool temperatures in the northern mountainous areas of the state and mild temperatures in urban areas, where fog banks could even occur at dawn.

As the hours pass, the weather will become hot across much of the state, especially in the northeast, where high temperatures of 40 to 45 degrees are expected.

During the afternoon, the sky will turn from partly cloudy to cloudy in some areas, with possible scattered showers accompanied by thunderstorms. These conditions are a result of the Mexican monsoon, reinforced by the subtropical jet stream and a cyclonic circulation in the mid-levels of the atmosphere.

Winds will also play a significant role this Friday, with northwesterly gusts that could reach speeds of between 40 and 60 km/h (25 and 37 mph), which could generate dust storms on roads and open areas in the region.

Tijuana Weather Forecast

In Tijuana, the day will start cool with some areas of morning fog. During the afternoon, a mild to warm atmosphere is expected, with partly cloudy skies and isolated showers with lightning in the city, along with moderate winds.
