This Friday, the official opening of the eighth edition of Expo Mueble Baja California 2025, established as the most important furniture industry exhibition in the northwest of the country, took place at the Baja California Center in Rosarito Beach.
Representing Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz, the Secretary of Economic Development and Tourism of the 10th Municipality of Playas de Rosarito, Irán Leonardo Verdugo, participated in the opening ceremony. He highlighted the importance of this type of event in strengthening the economic, tourism, and business development of the region.
Events like Expo Mueble position Rosarito as a key hub for business and meeting tourism. “We are proud to welcome national and international exhibitors, buyers, and investors who see our city as an ideal space for growth,” said Verdugo.
Expo Mueble 2025 brings together more than 80 national and international exhibitors and is aimed at professionals in the fields of design, interior design, hospitality, and architecture, as well as the general public interested in the latest trends in the sector.
In this edition, Playas de Rosarito has a special pavilion dedicated to local furniture makers and artisans, members of the Rosarito Furniture and Accessories Manufacturers Association (AFAMARO), who will be present with eight stands dedicated to promoting and marketing their products, reflecting the creativity, quality, and talent of our region.
During his speech, Verdugo highlighted that Playas de Rosarito has 474 companies dedicated to the manufacturing industry, which together generate more than 6,652 direct jobs. Of that total, the furniture industry accounts for one-third of the jobs generated, with 89 furniture companies. Registered companies, which provide 2,342 direct jobs in the municipality.
Finally, the official extended an invitation to Baja Californians and fellow citizens residing in the United States to visit, invest, and experience Rosarito Beach, a vibrant, welcoming destination with great opportunities, ideal for family fun, doing business, and being part of the development of this city with significant binational activity.
The exhibition will be open to the public from June 27 to 29, offering an ideal platform to forge strategic alliances, explore new business opportunities, and experience firsthand furniture innovation.
