The most beautiful corners of Mexico’s Baja California are the setting chosen for the launch of the new series of programs that make up the eighth season of ‘Viajeros Cuatro,’ which premieres tomorrow, Wednesday, on Cuatro (10:50 p.m.).

The legendary Mediaset España program, produced in collaboration with Producciones Mandarina, is packing its bags once again with the help of the team consisting of Lucas Goikoetxea, Marina Romero, Eva Rojas, Lourdes Gordillo, and Arantzazu Fuertes, joined this season by travel reporter Antonio Montero. They will be guides to some of the world’s most-publicized destinations on social media, inviting viewers to discover their spectacular landscapes, culture, unique cuisine, secrets, and curiosities, as well as offering a selection of interesting spots in our country. Thus, the first trip will be to Mexico’s Baja California, followed by, among others, the lush Sri Lanka or bustling Hong Kong, the lesser-known beaches of Barcelona, and the royal sites of Segovia.

Jacques Cousteau dubbed Baja California “the world’s aquarium” for its great marine diversity. This enormous 1,250-kilometer-long peninsula, bathed by the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez, is located in the northwest corner of Mexico and is the destination where the eighth season of “Viajeros Cuatro” kicks off tomorrow with reporter Lucas Goikoetxea.

His first meeting will be with Aiztziber Palacio, a Spanish travel planner and photographer, at the San Ignacio Lagoon in central Baja California. The two will be amazed by interacting, even petting, with the gray whales that visit this area of the Mexican coast each year on their migratory route.

Lucas will then visit Tijuana with María Morales, a Spanish woman who has lived in this border city for five years. They will share their gastronomy and local culture with the sound of mariachi bands. There will also be an opportunity to attend a training session with popular Mexican masked wrestlers.

At the next stop, he will meet David Jiménez, a diving instructor, who will accompany the program’s team from La Paz, the capital of Baja California Sur, to the Espiritu Santo Archipelago to swim among sea lions. With him, they will tour the eastern coast of the peninsula where the desert meets the rich waters of the Sea of Cortez.

The final destination will be Los Cabos, at the southern tip of the peninsula, where Spaniard Pepe de Tejeda will discover the most luxurious resorts frequented by North American tourists seeking sun, sea, and nightlife. The tour will end in San José, the setting for spectacular mansions owned by wealthy individuals, some of them owned by renowned actors like Brad Pitt.
