The businessman also mentioned the efforts to improve the valley’s road infrastructure, with an initial investment of 10 million pesos of the 40 million needed to renew the road network that connects the valley’s delegations.
In the context of the Tianguis Turístico, Estudillo highlighted the importance of Baja California as a producer of 75% of Mexican wine, highlighting that 16 states in the country already participate in wine production, which underlines the sector’s growth potential.
With more than 8,700 hectares dedicated to the cultivation of vines and the employment of more than 500,000 people, viticulture is the second largest source of agricultural employment in Mexico, with an annual production of 36 million liters of wine.
Finally, Estudillo pointed out that wine consumption in Mexico continues to increase, with a per capita consumption of 1.3 liters, which offers great growth potential for the Guadalupe Valley in the national and international context, contributing to the promotion of local tourism.
