The 2023 National Baseball Championship begins in Ensenada

ENSENADA – With the presence of state and municipal authorities, at the Antonio Palacios Stadium in Ensenada the 2023 National Baseball Championship began, which is organized by the Mexican Baseball Federation, the Baja California State Baseball Association.

Representing the head of the Institute of Sports and Culture of Baja California, Érik Morales Elvira, the director of INDEBC Infrastructure, Jorge Ramos, made the inaugural declaration of the National Championship before the different participating squads.

“We are very happy for the support provided by the State Government, INDEBC and our friend Érik Morales. Thanks to this great event, there is a good economic impact in Ensenada with so many people who come to see these great baseball players,” commented the president of the Baja California State Baseball Association, Freddy Lugo Valenzuela.

Also, he said, “Ensenada deserved this National, it has been many years since we had it, and we hope that the fans will be excited by this first-class National where we will always take care of the family atmosphere and any safety issue.”

The representatives of Baja California A and B, Sonora, Chihuahua, Tamaulipas, Sinaloa, Guanajuato, Zacatecas, Nuevo León and Mexico City will seek to be crowned in 2023, after Dorados de Chihuahua did so against Baja California last year.
