They line up in their cars waiting for vaccination in Mexicali

MEXICALI. The Ministry of Health will apply three thousand vaccines against Covid-19 at the Fex Mexicali facilities this weekend. This vaccination day caused that since yesterday, hundreds of people lined up with their cars to reach one of the doses.

Alonso Óscar Pérez Rico, Secretary of Health in the State, indicated that 1,500 doses will be applied today and another 1,500 today.

Pérez Rico specified that only people over 60 will be vaccinated, although he asked people not to come until today, although since very early Friday there are older adults camping on the outskirts of the Fex.

Don Ernesto and Doña Ana Victoria were some of the people who were trained since yesterday and are the first in line to get vaccinated. His daughter spent the night outside the entertainment center and slept in the car; the older adults arrived at eight in the morning as a relief. Doña Victoria assured that she is willing to wait as long as necessary because the vaccine for her is a matter of life or death. “We have waited so long that we can spend one more night, we are not going to move.”

The vaccination will begin today in the morning, but since yesterday hundreds of older adults have lined up in the hope of being vaccinated.
