The award went to the Best Local Government Practices 2020, by the Alcaldes de México Magazine
Through a virtual ceremony, the president of Ensenada in Baja California, Armando Ayala Robles, received the award for Best Local Government Practices 2020, in the category “Direct Foreign Investment”, by the Mayors of Mexico Magazine.
According to a statement, this recognition was awarded for managing historical resources in just one year of work, in the midst of a health contingency such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
This investment was 2,800 million dollars from foreign companies to the port of Ensenada in just 12 months.
“We treasure the statuette that recognizes the work of the XXIII Ensenada City Council for ‘making the best practices in local public management’, as it is an incentive to set the bar higher and continue setting greater goals,” said the mayor.
In addition, he stressed that this is the result of the trust that the Ensenada people put in their administration, “for which we reward them with work and continuous results in the position they entrusted to us,” he added.
