The reactivation of air traffic is sought: GAP
The Grupo Aeroportuario del PacĂfico (GAP) announced that the airline Volaris will offer a 20 percent discount on the airfare of the 119 routes that it operates in conjunction with the GAP from or to the cities of Tijuana, Guadalajara, Mexicali, Hermosillo , Los Mochis, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Morelia, La Paz, Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta to travel from October 1 to November 30.
The foregoing will be key in the reactivation of air traffic at the airports of the most important tourist destinations in the country.
This discount will benefit more than 40 thousand customers who travel on these routes every day, and will contribute to the economic take-off of states such as Baja California, Baja California Sur, Jalisco, Aguascalientes, Sonora, Sinaloa, Guanajuato, and Michoacán, ”assured Enrique Beltranena, director Volaris general.
For its part, the private airport group is offering support to the airlines for their recovery.
From April to June, he added, he reimbursed 100 percent of airport services, as well as a 50 percent reduction in the month of July. From that date until October, it offers an Air Services Incentives and Recovery Program against Covid-19 that will allow airlines to obtain specific incentives for each route that operates to/from a GAP airport, among other incentives.
It should be mentioned that Volaris began its operations as an airline in the Grupo Aeroportuario del PacĂfico in 2006, with the Toluca-Tijuana flight, and since then it has increased its presence in the 11 GAP airports, with an average of 296 daily takeoffs and transporting more of 92 million Clients to date. Volaris allocates 66 aircraft from its fleet to its domestic and international operations in Grupo Aeroportuario del PacĂfico.
