In Baja California there have been five suspected cases of coronavirus, according to the Secretary of Health in the State, Alonso Óscar Pérez Rico.

The official explained through a press release that three of the suspected cases were detected in Mexicali and two in Tijuana.

The first three cases reported in Baja Californi are from people who traveled to Italy, according to information from federal authorities.

It is revealed that it is a 24-year-old woman, a 25-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman.

According to this information, the 24-year-old woman had symptoms since last February 24, days before arriving in Mexico on March 2, after having traveled to Italy. In the case of the 51-year-old woman, she presented symptoms on February 27, 10 days after traveling to Mexico City.

The 25-year-old man presented symptoms on February 29, after arriving from Italy on February 25, according to official reports.

It was announced that Baja California has preventive actions, as well as filters in airports, schools, nurseries and churches, to prevent the spread of the disease.

Schools will have filters that consist of detecting children with the flu and referring them to the doctor for an assessment.
